Our paper, Exploring Accumulation Rates of Shell Deposits Through Seasonality Data was recently published in the Journal of Archaeological Method and Theory. It explores the use of seasonality data combined with stratigraphic information to find distinct groups of shells that were deposited (eaten) at the same time and as the same meal. Finding these pockets of meals will help to reconstruct the temporal scaffolds of shell midden sites. One necessity for answering these questions is the availability of large amounts of seasonality values. The core objective of the ACCELERATE Project.
